Yesterday I felt like having a nice hot fleishig soup since I didnt have fleishig for the past 10 days..(in asia) so on the way home from picking up dd from school I called David's restaurant & ordered soup.
When I was outside there was no parking so I stopped at the bus stop & called the restaurant to bring it outside to my car.
They did.
I did not realize a police officer is behind me giving me a ticket.
$115!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my (at the time) 5 week old baby was in the back of the car screaming and I circled the block, couldnt find parking, double parked, got in the back of the car to give him gripe water (the best thing in the world for a colicky baby!) and got out. saw the cop, asked if he was giving me a ticket. he said no. 2 seconds later his female partner puts a ticket on my windshield. went over to the cop car and said excuse me officer id like to ask u a question....really polite. he rolled up his window in my face!
what can I say?
im glad I moved to argentina!

In my case it was an extra expensive vacuum cleaner. It was pouring rain and dh double parked in front of the store just while I loaded it into the car....

Oh well.

Oy! I'm so sorry that happened to you 1011! (come to Israel, if the cops would give tickets to ppl. who parked at a bus-stop.... then the police-force would be, oh so RICH!!!)

I also thought you were gonna post a really expensive Soup Recipe, and was wondering what you put inside (a couple pounds of meat, very rare mushrooms???) LOL

Me, too--fish chowder made with caviar? beef-and-barley made with kosher filet mignon? mushroom-barley made with truffles (the mushroom kind, not the chocoaltes)? or maybe just 14-carrot soup...

well..... my soup isn't AS expensive, but does add up-
mushroom barley with short ribs (yum)
