Well I have a good muhammara recipe, it doesn't have mayo but I've made it a lot with great success. I use canned or jarred roasted red peppers. I never use the bread crumbs and when I want it spicy I add dried cayenne pepper or extra red pepper flakes. Usually do one not spicy for the kids and one spicy for the adults.

Never would've thought of jalapeño with mayo.gotta try it my dh will love it.
I do Matbucha with jalepeno so it's very spicy.
Can of diced tomatoes drained
2 jalapeño diced
fresh garlic diced
I cook that with a bit of oil until soft
Add tomato paste
Salt
Cumin
Paprika
If you need it spicier add cayenne pepper
If it's too spicy use less jalapeño or more tomatoes
