I saw this on the back of a Celestial Seasonings tea box:
If I had my child to raise all over agin, I'd finger paint more, and point the finger less
I'd do less correcting, and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I would care to know less, and know to care more.
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop playing serious, and seriously play.
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging, and less tugging.
I would be firm less often, and affirm much more.
I'd build self esteem first, and the house later.
I'd teach less about the love of power, And more about the power of love.
(Diane Loomans, from "Full esteem ahead")

Sometimes I think I wouldn't have any - like it was a mistake for me to bring kids in the world.

Well it's only because they're so unhappy that I feel that I screwed up. I wanted children - I thought if you give them love and understanding everything would be okay. They need way more. IT IS SCARY!!!

I once saw also on a celestial tea that there will not be anything as hard or as rewarding as being a mother - I don't have the quote offhand but it used to strike me more when my babies were babies - w/teenagers who has time to remember.

it doesnt help if there are other emotional problems going on that arent being dealt with properly or devorce, things like that can really amke it hard on a kid

I've heard Dr Laura say that kids need 4? A's:
Attention
Affection
Acceptance
Appreciation
I don't think I got it right, LOL.

it depends what u mean by hard. some ppl think when babies act like babies they are hard. meaning crying when they want something (when after all babies cant talk so thats thier way of communication!) or getting excited and wanting our attention when we want to do something else.....
so are all boys hard? depends what u mean.....
