I just use a recipe that calls for tahini and skip that ingredient if I don't have it. It's fine.

Elmos posted a good one from food network I believe, calls for toasted sesame oil, no tehini. Go easy on the salt though.

I used to make it for my daughter like that bec she is allergic to sesame. I used a recipe from allrecipes.com and just skipped the tehini and added a little extra oil. It was fine.

If you dont mind sesame seeds you can just puree them with olive oil thats how I make it in chummus
