I have lots of cucumbers and would like to use them for Shabbos. The salad I know is the vinegar-sugar-salt one, and it does not go over well here. Any other ideas that use ingredients I probably have in my kitchen?
thanks

Equal parts vinegar and sugar. A little mayonnaise. Lots of dill - fresh dill is best, second best is dill cubes, third best is dill weed spice.

My kids love this recipe.

Thanks. This sounds great. Unfortunately, I have no dill. I will see if DH can get some tomorrow - if there is any left in the stores here.

I make one with lime honey soy sauce and
D sesame oil dressing. Also sliced jalapeños and cilantro and scallion if I have. And a little rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar.

I cut them and put in layers with salt, vinegar, dill and garlic. A little vegetable oil on top and let stand overnight.
I just wonder how many drastically different cucumber salads there are:)

I usually cut them thinly and dress with soysauce-tehini dressing.
Also you can cut them in cubes, and use amba or lime pickles as dressing.

Both taste drastically different from standard sugar-vinegar-dill thingie.
