I am looking to buy a new camera. my budget is under 250, and my most important thing is that it be very clear, good focus, and very fast between taking one picture to the next. which also includes focusing very quickly so I can take the next picture right away without it coming out blurry b/c it didnt have enough time to focus.
can anyone recommend a camera like this?
my dd is impossible to photograph b/c she moves so fast and my camera is so slow that I get tons of pictures that are either of the side of her head, or blurry, or she is completely out of the frame b/c she moved.
I feel really bad that she has almost NO nice pictures of her for the past year, just lots of blurry, side looking pictures.
Thank you so much in advance!

No specific recommendation but just wanted to point out that many cameras have an option where you don't have to re-focus between every shot - for example, it will let you just hold down the shutter button and it will keep taking pictures until you let go, holding the original focus from before you started.
A quick shutter speed will help, as will a good flash because flash will help you get good pictures with a fast shutter speed but many cameras' flashes make everything look wrong. But still, especially with that budget, a lot of it will remain up to your technique. Learn your camera settings, and get a big memory card so you can take a LOT of pictures until you catch that DD!

With black friday coming up I really want to choose a new camera from all the ones being offered for sale this week. My biggest obstacle lies in the fact that quick picture taking is not one of the things listed as a feature when researching cameras. is there any way to find out how each camera is without testing out 1000 demo cameras in stores, to try each one?
is there a proper name for this taking pictures with no delay in between thing, that I could search for to help me to find the answer?
also what is the name for the time from when you press the button to the time the picture gets taken?
And just BTW, I am a great photographer. I am crippled by an insanely poor camera, and I refuse to put up with it any longer.

You want something with a fast shutter speed.
I'm assuming you want a point and shoot- just google fastest point and shoot camera for reviews so have an idea of the cameras you'd like to try out in store.
hope that helps

I just read reviews online, they usually compare these things. I forget the exact sites I liked but google the names of cameras you're considering.
The time from when you press to when the picture snaps is called shutter lag.
Taking a bunch of pictures without refocusing in between would probably be continuous shooting.
