I'm sick of making baked sweet potato, persian rice and chicken.
What are good friday night main meals that are:
a) delicious
b) easy
c) easy to keep hot in the oven (125-160F) for 2 hrs and won't go bad?

if you slightly undercook everything, and I mean to the point that is is almost perfect, then it comes out great for the shabbos meal

kugels are great.
spinach rice from kbd is excellent and reheats nicely!!!
try a pot roast with root vegetables, the longer its in the oven the softer it gets.
as far as side dishes kugels are youre best bet!

I fry onions, add lots of uncooked rice with seasonings, place a chicken on the top add lots of water and cook covered. I do it on the stove followed by blech but you could do it in the oven too. The rice absorbs the chicken flavor and comes out yummy.

I have a great broccoli kugel recipe that is always a winner.

2lbs frozen broccoli
5 eggs
2 tbs onion soup mix
3/4 cup mayonnaise

Cook broccoli until soft, drain and mash as much as you want. Then add rest of ingredients and pour into a 9"by 6" or a round tin. Bake on 350 for around an hour (until solidified and light brown on top).
You can sprinkle cornflake crumbs on top if you like but I find they go soggy when covering and reheating for shabbos.
