I accidentally left my gefilte fish in the fridge last night, instead of the freezer. I only noticed when I went now to cook it. So what do I do with completely defrosed (mushy) gefilte fish? Usually its frozen, I defrost for fifteen min or so and then bake. Please help me. TIA.

make into balls, bread and fry. add a sauce

perfect!!! shape into patties---you can add some ground vegeatables, and fry in shallow oil. this is super yummy.

I purposely defrost my gefilta fish loaves (although not completely) by putting in the fridge. Then I spray a loaf pan well and put the fish in - patting all around to take the shape of the loaf pan. I usually then top w/ a layer of tomato sauce and diced onions and green peppers - great color contrast.

I also cook mine defrosted. I put it in a loaf pan and bake it plain. It gets brown and yummy. I usually serve with a dipping sauce on the side.
