We're off for a fancy dinner at Mike's Bistro to celebrate one whole year that we haven't managed to kill each other yet ... yay!

Mike's Bistro was AMAZING, as always. We go there for nearly every birthday or occasion we can find to splurge (it was $100 w/no alcoholic beverages) or if our parents are paying. LOL

I think it's the best kosher restaurant I've ever been to, hands down, the service is phenomenal, great atmosphere with light jazz (usually Coltrane) and we always sit in the greenhouse extension that looks out onto 72nd street.

The menu rotates frequently and Mike's seasonal dishes are amazing: DH had for an appetizer Spaghetti Squash-stuffed Canneloni that was topped with lamb tomato ragu sauce and some toasty breadcrumbs. It was unreal, so orginal, and the taste was exquisite. Dh had some perfectly roasted duck for main course. I always have the same: wild mushroom consomme for appetizer, and duck gnocchi for main course. It's to die for. The kind of meal that when you're done, you want to do it all over again!!

Sorbet and espresso to finish, perfectly romantic Smile
