Does anyone know of any books for really, really easy to read books that are frum. I'm thinking of maybe a guided reading level of , A through D.

Its been a while since I've looked through guided reading books, but if I remember correctly, most A-C books have few or no words - correct? D will have some short sentences with some basic sight words...
They don't really exist. Most frum books aren't meant for children to learn how to read on their own.

You mean most frum books are meant for children who know how to read well or else have someone read to them...my son is an advanced reader but he still enjoys reading the kiddie books for something light.
If you're looking for something like Hop on Pop, I'm not sure they exist. You can get baby books, but even those are not going to have words of certain phonetic sounds to be learned together...

My dd needed practice reading. When I asked for suggestions of books, and if that there were any that were Jewsih, the teacher said that generally the Jewish books aren't for real beginners.

I personally do not have a problem with most of the beginning reading books, as the content is not really complex enough to be problematic, the drawings are usually nothing remotely realistic to pose tznius issues, and I don't have a hakpada on no non-kosher animals in the home.

thanks everyone,
I will check out Menucha Fuchs but everything I have seen by her thus far is too hard, but she might have something new. Guided reading A-D All have sentances but. Really simple and repetitive.
this is a new issue for me I have no problem with these books or many other secular kids books, but my kids go to a Chabad School that tries to use Jewish books whenever possible andneeds new really begginer books.
What do your kids schools use?
