Can you defrost frozen gefilte fish logs, roll into small balls and boil (as opposed to frying)? Or would it fall apart?
When I bake a frozen gefilte fish log, I find it comes out much too salty. I assume they're seasoned for being boiled for a quite long time. What can I do if I want to bake in a loaf but not too salty?

Each brand seasons their fish differently. I guess yours has lots of salt in it.
If you want to bake the balls, maybe bake them in a sweet broth, or sweet tomato base.
