1.Don't stick them in the dryer!
2. Put in Oxi-clean and bleach if safe for the shirts
3.Rewash until they whiten
My s-I-l did this and my b-I-l's shirts look fine

Or use RIT color remover, sold wherever fabric dyes and sometimes laundry products are sold.

Apparently when my husband was a kid, the white load got red and someone stuck it in the dryer without consulting the laundry-expert ima. Some boys refused to wear pink underwear, others didn't care

to add to HY's advice, use hot, hot water even if the shirts don't allow it.

I love their products. I have dyed stained white shirts from my younger boys to grey and blue I have dyed faded black pants black so they look new again. I have even dyed t-shirts so my twins match without buying new ones colors such as red and yellow and orange it comes out bright and nice without affecting the fabric or washer

It's probably too late, but just in case....
I don't think you are supposed to use Oxy Clean & bleach together. Also, Oxyclean probably wouldn't help in this case as it primarily works on organic stains (grape juice, mustard, baby food, grass, diaper stains etc).
So, assuming that these were white shirts (?), I would fill the washing machine with water and a cup of regular bleach and soak the white shirts in it for an hour, then wash as usual.
Good luck!
Debbie

Really? Good to know! Truth is I've never used Oxi-Clean, but heard great things about it.

I love Oxyclean! Oxyclean and Mr. Clean Magic Eraser are, (in my opinion), the best new cleaning products this century! They really make it easier to keep things clean
BTW, I do not own shares in the companies & don't even work for them ;-)

I have the magic eraser, but as I don't own a washing machine, I never actually bought Oxi-Clean. I just use whatever my mother-in-law has
I do want to try it one time. One person told me she washed all of her older child's baby clothes in it when her baby was born, and the clothes came out sparkling.

Great! I'm so happy for you (I bet your husband is too!! ;-) )
And, I guess I learned something new too. I have never had much luck using Oxyclean on non-organic stains. But now I know what to try the next time s/t like this happens to ME
To the poster who mentioned her sisters baby clothes....
When I first discovered Oxyclean, I was soooo excited, that I also unpacked all my (stained) baby clothes (carrots, sweet potato, diaper stains etc), and ended up getting almost all the stains out. Some of these stains were over 5 YEARS old!
Shabbat Shalom everyone,
Debbie

It could be that regular detergent would have worked as well, as the stains weren't probably set...
It was my neighbor (my s-I-l's s-I-l ), but yeah, hers were two years old, and it was like new she said.
