Do you use it? I just got the powder, the liquid was even more expensive...........

I do use it, the difference is regular detergent has extra suds added and then you need to use less detergent not to oversuds the machine so you are using too little soap.

I only use powder does just as good a job and is 4 sure cheaper

I use regular liquid detergent, only a fraction of what I used to use in my top loading machine

I was using h/e in my front loader, but after about 2 months the machine got so sudsy that I changed to the regular detergent, I just use half the amount required and the machine works fine now.
