Oh I have terrible teeth - lots of caps & a couple of crowns so I never use my teeth to rip, tear or open anything! I have a fear of my teeth falling out!

so have mine. Last year at a trip to the dentist, the hygenist happened to mention that the main dentist just came back from some exotic place & I thought, "yeah! On my money!"

My parents always said.........

"Teeth and not tools"

and I taught that to my kids; who knows if they listen or not...

I never even bite into anything due to a front root canal....

I lost two teeth when I fell down some cement stairs many years ago. So now I have implants. I use those if I really need to use my teeth.

I was once on the highway and bit into a candy bar that had a bit of a nutshell in it. It broke the tooth down the middle. I did not go home but went straight to the dentist. Of course it cost a fortune and it was an Israeli candy bar so who could I have complained to?
I have saved money at the dental school when I was able to plan in advance. I don't know if they deal with emergencies.
