Can it be done with pastrami?
Thanks. |
Cook, rinse and drain orzo.
Saute onions, add cubed salami.
Combine with orzo. Season with salt and pepper.
Yes, it can definately be done with pastrami, cut into small strips. |
Thanks/
It just went on my RH menu.

About the vegetable muffins...Are they supposed to be chunky? I made them and they have large chunks. Was I supposed to mash them or blend them?

I'm not doing one this year, and I don't know about others, but what I've done in the past is leave my crock pot on from the beginning of YT, on low, filled with water. Then before Shabbos, dump the water and fill with cholent ingredients.

For cholent, I will either be leaving my crockpot on the entire YT (without the crock being left in the heating device), or I will buy a 7 day timer and have it turn on Friday afternoon.
Cholent will be put up fresh iyH before Shabbos.

Here's mine. I'm not sure yet of my Friday day menu, I think I'll take some ideas posted here
Wednesday night
citrus marinated salmon
chicken soup w/ knaidlach
flanken in sauce
potato kugel
fruit filled danishes
Thursday Day
Tuna and Salmon patties
cream of celery soup
pastrami danishes
lukshen kugel
veggie turnovers w/ mushroom sauce
farfel (for the kids)
Thurday Night
Chicken soup w/ knaidlach
some sort of chicken
lukshen kugel
veggie kugel (or leftover turnovers, not sure yet)
I am probably going to leave my slow cooker on without the ceramic insert so I can make cholent friday morning. We'll have that Shabbos day, along with gefilte fish and salads.

I leave my oven on for Yom Tov, so I keep it at a low temperature (between 225 & 250) for chulent. I put it into the oven Friday afternoon.
