I'm sorry to burden you all with the pithy details of my existence, but neither for love nor for money can I keep a bathmat from molding!
What do you all use (outside the tub)?

How frequently do you wash it? I have 2 different types of bathmats, one thicker one but without the rubber bottom, and another regular one with the rubber bottom. The one without seems to dry better and stay cleaner, but they're both fine after a wash.

Make sure the fan in your bathroom works.

you've got to remove it from the tub after each bath/shower and hang it to dry.

I have had both types. They seem to get very wet and don't dry properly when hung up, but it's hung up after every shower.
This apt has a window which is always open, but our next apt does NOT.

I use a bath rug which can easily be thrown in the washing machine.
No mold this way.....
