How do I get out #2 from babies clothes? Addionally can I just wash it reg. without worrying about staining the rest of the load?

If the #2 is in the material, it shouldn't ruin the other clothes. If theres stuff to scrape off (sorry for being too graphic Smile

) then wipe it off first. Is this happeneing to a lot of clothes? Maybe you should buy bigger diapers or change brands.

If you are exclusively breastfeeding it should not be a problem to wash it with other clothes. to get the stains out you should put it in the sun while it is still wet.

So I should just do a regular cold wash with reg detergent (after scraping of course!!! Wink

) and then putit out to dry? Does it have to be direct sunlight? It is really important that I do this right as I can't afford new clothes.

Cold water is no good for most stains. Pretreat and soak. Scrub beforehand if you can.

You might have to wash it a couple of times.

Just wash it normally, then put it in the sun to dry. I would put it in direct sun if possible. If not, try it anyway, you can always just get it wet again and put it somewhere sunnier if it doesn't work the first time. This may work on clothes that you've already put in the drier with the stain.

I wouldn't scrape. dip the garment in the toilet, hold on tight and flush.
then pretreat and wash (cold first, then if no luck I'd try hot. at that point what do you have to lose)

I would do what granolamom does. It really gets the 'stuff' off prior to washing.

Yeah!!!!!! O.k this is what I did.
I took her clothes and soaked it with detergent then ran a warm/cold wash voila! I got it all out. Thank for all your speedy tips

anyone know how to get crayon out? somebody left a crayon in a pocket. it must have fallen out of the pocket in the wash and hung around for the whites when it got transferred to the dryer and wreaked havoc. Everything has blue marks. worst of all dd's uniform shirts were in there, the underwear and socks are more easily replaceable (are white undies with blue streaks ok during shiva nikeim?) but the shirts, oh the shirts!
