Restaurant Teriyaki Sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 cup water
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp garlic powder
5 Tbsp packed brown sugar
1-2 Tbsp honey
2 Tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water
Combine soy sauce, water, ground ginger, garlic powder, brown sugar, and honey in a small sauce pan.
Heat until mixture just begins to bubble.
Dissolve cornstarch in cold water. Pour into pot.
Heat until sauce thickens.

Tonight I am marinating chicken in 1 cup of this, and I will be placing it in the crockpot tomorrow morning. (Without all the extra sauce.)
I also use teriyaki sauce on baked salmon. Mixed with other condiments to make a sauce for chicken. For pepper steak. And many other dishes.

oh, & ra mom, thanks for the recipe.... I always used the ready sauce.... hope to try this sometime soon

Oh, and how could I forget OldYoung's teriyaki steak? I use this in that recipe (along with wine and other flavors.)
