Almost any contrasting color that flatters your complexion can work. I would go for pink, pale to intense depending on the shade of purple, or blue ranging from ice to sky. Light yellow. Pale green sounds too weird, but think of an unripe eggplant. Outer skin deep purple, inner skin pale green, and it's lovely.
If you mean lavender as opposed to dark purple, that's harder. I'd go for contrast again: white or off-white, navy blue, black, but not pastels. You don't want to look like a candy-coated mint lentil!
