When I see someone wearing 3+ inch heels...

I usually think it looks good and see nothing wrong with it

I think this poll is pretty off since a lot more than heel height goes into defining a shoe as tznius or not and certainly whether a woman looks like a harlot.

I really like high heels and no my feet are not killing - I only buy comfortable shoes, and don't go round wearing them that often now - as I am stuck at home shabbos b"h with the children.

honestly , what's the big deal? to each their own. me personally I prefer platforms over heels, but I don't mind them at all. they're actually not so hard to walk in unless their the real stiletto heels and dainty type of shoe than until you get used to it it could be a challenge, but they definitely look nicer than some of the shoes I've seen out there.

I look at them and feel like asking if I can try them on - I love high heels not that I ever get to wear them except to the occasional wedding

It depends how well she pulls it off. Some women look totally natural in high high heels, others look awkward + it draws attention to the shoes (then, like others, I think "ouch." and sometimes "why do that to yourself?")

One of my best friends in high school was French, her mom could come to pick her up in high high heels, leopard-print leggings, a turquoise top and sunglasses and look totally, 100% natural. OTOH, if most of the other mothers had tried to pull that off, they would have looked absurd and called attention to themselves. Same here -- some can look great + not immodest, while others would look ridiculous and attention-seeking in the same item of clothing.

And like HooRYou, I think it takes a lot more than a tall heel to make someone look like a hooker.

More then that what about those ugly high platform shoes. They make so much noicse when they wear them. Now that's not tznius walking around clunking. Those women look like they are going to fall over also not very feminine. Sorry girls I am into women looking feminine in a tznius way. I'm a Talbots and Lands End girl very preppy. Bring on the flats.............................................

Me too. Especially since most of the time their feet do kill and very often they end up needing foot surgery for bunions.

Now that you mention it, Blair, yeah - those platform shoes kinda remind me of the way they portray harlots in movies - those high, high platforms and hotpants....(no, I wasn't the one who voted for harlots). I can't think of anything more (subjectively) ugly than platforms. UGH!
