Can anyone give me a tip on how to get pen ink off of my (brand new  ) leather couch?

Alcohol! I have a cream colored couch and a 16 month old baby - not a good match! Put a bit on a cotton ball and rub gently until you don't seee it. BTW what color is it? Because on my cream colored one the spot gets a bit lighter, so if it's like red or light brown tested out first in an incospicuous area to see how much of the cvolor fades. Don't be alarmed if the lightness is too obvious, once the couch gets worn a bit, or a bit dirty  it won't be as noticeable.

I second that!!! Alcohol really works! Do it very gently as Cindy mentioned, the color may come off as well. You should use the alcohol right away.I have found that after the ink sets on the leather it is harder to get off.

what do you use for general cleaning of the couch - just for regular dirt marks?
my couch is chocolate brown.

I use pledge spray with a soft cloth. Spray on the couch in a thin layer and wipe dry.
