so I want to fry fish balls - the pre-rolled fish from AnB gets soooo sticky
does anyone have a tried and tested way (without too much flour) and with lots of flavor!!!!

I just roll the mix into walnut sized balls and fry it in the frying pan with about 1inch oil.
I don't coat with flour.
If you want lots of flavour, my preferred recipe is to prepare tomato sauce (sautee chopped onion and chopped celery, about a cup of tomato sauce or pasta sauce, dilute with about a cup of water so it's brothy, a bit of white wine as optional), drop the fish ball and cook for 20-25min. If you add a bit of chili sauce and chopped corriander, it adds very nice flavour. can be served hot or cold. You can also add a bit of cumine or paprika to the fish mix before cooking.

I did this once with my own mixture. After shaping the balls with moistened hands I rolled them in something like matzoh meal or bread crumbs. Once covered they didn't stick anymore.
