do I melt chocolate chips to do this? how many bananas can a bag of chips cover? |
I took reg baking chocolate leftover from pesach and melted it in the microwave then threw the bananas in
I used about 4 rows of chocolate for three bananas - got no clue about the chips version but I know that they arent meant for melting - they have something init that prevents it from happening nicely - think about chocolate chip cookies and how they retain their shape in a 350degree oven for 20 mins - if they were going to melt they would do so there no?

ok thanks! I know I've used chips before to make chocolate covered strawberries, but since I don't have any in the house, I can just buy some bakers chocolate. I gotta check out the label though and see if it's worth it for me on my diet because I might just become hooked!

yes, you can melt choc. chips for this. but you need to keep stirring it.
I don't know how many you'll cover with a bag.
But why don't you make it, and if it's not too many points, then enjoy.
If it's too many points, then just give your kids a treat.

oh how torturous would that be to make them and not even be able to eat them
I guess I will just have to try though. if not, there's always the old standby... plain frozen bananas which are delicious in their own right.
