Anyone recommend a recipe?
I'll admit it's my first time using or eating turnips.

| I have occasionally put them in the soup (I treat it like a root vegetable and peel it first).

You can shred it to make "cole slaw", or slice it thinly and add a few slivers of onion and drizzle with olive oil and lots of salt. _________________ Really Awesome Mom!

| My fil once made roasted turnips that were amazing! He cut them into sticks like french fries and drizzled them with olive oil and some salt. Roasted them for a while and they were addictive.

| My soup is done, those things don't look like they can be eaten raw, so roasted it is. Thanks, people.

| You can definitely eat them raw. Either grate them peeled and toss with vinaigrette, or make into pickles (looks really pretty if you pickle with a raw beetroot). Treat them like raddishes. Of course you can peel, cut them into chunks and add to soups, stews, casserole.

| I realized once I started peeling them that they're just giant radishes. Although I wouldn't cook radishes. Everyone here seemed to like them, except me.
