Dave Ramsey Fans

I have recently begun listening to Dave Ramsey's online radio show archives (at daveramsey.com) and curious if anyone else out there has applied his financial principals and what you think. I am so energized by it and wondering if there were any fans out there.

I have read some articles by him and thought they were very good.

I like listening to him. and the stories of hope that they paid off debt. and beans and rice and rice and beans. and only spend what you have if you can't pay for it you don't need it.

We got serious and paid off a LOT of debt in 18 mos. We still have a little left and I hope in the next year or so to have that done and at least an emergency fund in the works.

Budgeting and keeping track of the money going out really works. I think twice before I buy something--even things we "need".
