One thing I've always wanted to do is learn how to play the drums, and an even greater fantasy of mine is being in a female band as both singer and drummer. Like a frum Bananarama. Laughing

But I doubt I'll ever learn to play. Maybe it's not so much about being frum -- I actually once met a frum female drummer who gave lessons -- but because it's not a priority of mine. Just a fantasy.

Anyone else? Is there something you've always wanted to do or learn but doubt you ever will?

I would have loved to go to medical school but for several reasons couldn't and didn't. I hope though, never to stop learning and am planing on doing my masters soon. Eventually, I'll do it - maybe when I'm retired.

I want to learn fluent Arabic. You need it here, not the mishmash of a few phrases that most of us know.
But for that I need time.
And I don't have time.
Maybe after I retire.

would have been nice to have learned how to play a musical instrument. I used to fantasize abt playing flute, but never happened. I love listening to people play and I always wish I could do it too. oh well, it's definitely not happening now though. I feel like that is something that a younger person can learn much quicker. Also, I don't exactly have the time for it now.

HA! That was exactly what I was going to say. Not that I aspire so high as to speak it fluently, just enough to get by. Let me know when you retire, and if I'm also collecting a pension, we can hire a tutor for both of us!
