Does anyone have experience with (frum or frum-oriented) online writing classes? I'm wondering if
- there are any
- how much do they cost
- curriculum
- etc.

Thanks!

If there isn't one, perhaps we could make a writing group? That could be fun!

What do you mean by writing classes? I taught writing in school for many years, but somehow I don't think we're on the same page (pun intended.)

My close friend has been running classes IRL like this for years. Want me to ask her to teach it? I won't be insulted if you say no, I promise!! Wink Or I'll do it. I miss teaching (not grading & not the parents Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes ) but giving over info & seeing my students develop as writers. Again, if you'd rather not, I am fine with that.

Ruchama Feuerman used to do phone workshops. I think she might still do them... contact her via her website: http://www.writetogether.typepad.com/

Why don't you just join me? There are already a few other writers posting on my site and if you comment on their writing they'll also comment on yours which will certainly give you the inspiration to conitnue and improve your work. I also have a forum right next to the posts where we can discuss any issues in particular.

So please, ladies, if you like creative writing and want to share yours I invite you to JewishTale.com. Post today and give useful comments to the other posters. This is the perfect tool for a writers club so make use of it! Very Happy

Yes, I took a quick look yesterday. Looks interesting; thanks! Meanwhile, now that I started all this off I probably won't have the time to pursue this for a little bit.

About Ruchama King: she wrote a book based on her writing program. If I owned it I might try to get with it.

Thanks again to everyone. I'd love to keep the discussion going.

The book is collection of stories from her students with tips from Ruchama King Feurman on different types of writing. Some of the writing/stories are excellent. Worth getting the book. I enjoyed it.

I would love to get a writing group together, any takers???
