Shatnes ? on Girls Rothschild Wool coat/boys GAP coat

Anyone know if I have to check a toddlers Shabbos wool coat by Rothschild for Shatnes?
I would also like to know about GAP's boys wool coat- mustard color- from this year
I am getting mixed reviews.... and yes Ill ask LOR but just wondering if anyone has/ has not checked

You have to check anything with wool and/or linen in it - take it to the shaatnez lab. If they know it def doesn't need checking they'll tell you. But even if someone has checked an identical garment and it was fine, it doesn't mean anything. There are no FDA or such-like requirements to ensure someone doesn't finish up a reel of cotton thread/ filling in the middle, and use linen for the next coat.

If you call the Shatnes Lab in WB they may be able to tell you over the phone....we do that & sometimes we don't have to go in. 718 387 8520. My DS called about his new suit on Friday, wore it Friday night Very Happy
