Many caterers offer this, including the ones in our neighborhood. Devorah Schecter Catering used to, but they closed. Call your favorite caterer and ask.

Ooh I really want those too. And if not too much effort can you give recipes for
Turkey Roast
Jello Relish
Roasted Caramelized Carrots
Spinach Kugel

HOw do you keep turkey roast from drying out. I bout it because it seems healthy but wondering if it will be too dry.

Thanks for all ideas. Anyone have these recipes?

can someone post the zuchinni kugle muffins recipe? I have tried to search, but either I'm a lousy searcher or it's not coming up for me.

Thanks.

I lost my to-do list, so all I know is what I've already stuck in my freezer.

2 honey cakes- one for RH, one for Sukkos, pinktichel's recipe
2 butterscotch brownies- one for RH, one for Sukkos, cookielady's recipe
1 pan honey breaded chicken thighs

Tomorrow night IYH, I'll make 2 trays stuffed cabbage (one each for RH and Sukkos).

I have some vague recollection of planning sweet potato pie and beet-potato salad and tzimmes. And cranberry-pineapple relish, the cans are sitting and waiting in the cabinet until it's time to combine them.

And that's where my mental list ends.

I wonder what we'll end up eating. I guess I can add gefilte fish, chicken soup & kneidlach, and fresh vegetable salad since those are standard. And the pomegranate and new fruits.

B'h I have lots of food in my freezer that people made me for this past shabbos that there was just so much of that I'm gonna use it for the bulk of the food this shabbos/rosh hashana.

Both nights:
Chicken soup- from freezer
Simanin:
Black eyed peas in pod- looks like green beans- making them sticky with soy and honey
Carp- have to figure out how to cook it. Any ideas? We have no restrictions of what we're not allowed to cook.
Leek patties.
Glazed carrots.
Pomegranate.
Dates.
Beet salad.
Sauted gourd with onion.
Rice (from freezer)
Chicken (from freezer)
New fruit (I got no clue what its even called) second night

First day:
Tuna salad
Egg salad
Other leftover salads from bris
Rice (from freezer)
Chicken curry (from freezer)

Shabbos day:
Tuna salad
Egg salad
Other leftover salads from bris
Cholent

Deserts- leftover cakes and cookies from bris and shalom zachor

I am pretty sure.
Generally on a two day yom tov you say shehechiyanu on both of the first days.
However, since rosh hashana is considered one long day, we have a problem with saying shehechiyanu the second day, so we say shehechiyanu when lighting and in kiddush and have in mind that the shehechiyanu is going for the new fruit as well.

katb,

Basically something to say shechiyanu on, so it can be new clothing or new jewellery instead of new fruits. Wink We're doing over fresh figs. There used to be a competition among my friends who can come up with the most exotic stuff--fresh lychee, star fruits, dragon fruits, passion fruits things I don't even know what's called like orange-ish spikey thing with green stuff (most didn't taste that great) but we stick to the things we know taste nice. Big M&S has some interesting stuff.

Cook sliced carrots, drain water, stir in a half stick of butter (I make a big pot of carrots) and then add a couple tablespoons of orange marmalade and lightly salt. Sometimes I skip the orange marmalade and use brandy instead.

Another attractive dish is to cook parsnips and carrots together, salt butter parsley tarragon and a touch of chicken soup mix.

I don't have it planned out which meal is which but I'm getting the distinct impression we'll be eating a lot of the same things at each meal.

Round challah (maybe with a crumb topping)
Salmon
Gefilte fish (from a jar because DH actually likes it better)
Salmon (for me and maybe some of the kids because I can't stand fish from a jar!)
Some sort of salad
Chicken soup with knaidlach
Simple carrot tsimmes
Meatballs
Apricot Chicken
5 Layer Apple Kugel
Potato Kugel
Pareve cholent for Shabbos day
Sponge cake
Chocolate chip cookies
Honey cookies (I'm going to finally try the cookies Tamar Ansh put in Hamodia two years ago. Rebbetzin Meisel's recipe)

Now to get to work! Very Happy
