Being that one of the authors is frum I thought they'd be Jewish books, but the one I bought even has a Yushky story or 2 in it. I was rather surprised.

Anyone ?

actually, both authors are frum (I know them personally) but the books were marketed to a secular audience.

I've read quite a few of their books and I loved all of them. They are definitely geared to a non Jewish audience as well as a Jewish one. There were many Jewish stories but also others.

I think those books are great. I didn't read the holocaust one.

I own everyone except the Holocaust one. (My Women one is missing though.)
They're written by frum people, published by a non-Jewish publisher for anyone to read. They don't only publish Jewish stories. They just want people to realize there is a Controller of the world.

I also own every single one. My MIL got each of her daughter/DIL's the complete set as they came out. Hmm...they are on a bookshelf in the basement and I totally forgot about them. I should definately re-read.

I have read them all, but there is a story in one of them that brings chills to my body and tears to my eyes every time I read it. Without giving anything away, it is about a childless couple and the Lubavitcher Rebbe, zt'l. I think it's in the Small Miracles for the Jewish. Heart...If you haven't read it, please do.

It actually disturbs me that they write about Hashgocha Pratis in other faiths. They are frum, and I recognize that they want to market to secular audiences, but perhaps without stories about Yoshka and church and x-mas, etc.

I find it offensive. I wonder if they asked a shaila.

I can't say for sure, but knowing them, they are the kind of people who would ask.

No idea if they asked a shaylah or not. I guess I could rip the pages out of the book if it bothers me enough.
