I found what I thought was a flea on my baby girl today. She developed a few curious red spots on her arm yesterday which initially I thought were maybe mosquito bites but they were flat and today I thought I saw a flea on her. She lives on the floor, rolling around, playing with her toys. With the dots on her and possible flea sighting, I became vigilant looking all over the floor for fleas. Nothing...until a few hours later. Again, I saw what looked like a flea on her but I couldn't catch it.
I have no idea how it got in our house. We have no pets. My DH mowed our backyard 2 days ago and it was pretty long grass. He mowed his neighbors backyard yesterday and it was super long grass.
I thought fleas could not survive without a pet. How do we get rid of them safely? I can't stand the thought my DD has flea bites!

I'm sorry op. I would suggest calling an exterminator - they have non-toxic, baby safe stuff that can de-flea your house. hatzlocho.

do you have a carpet ... you might need to get some flea spray for the house ... they do bite humans but don't live on them ...
