I'm the type that pretty much serves the same thing every week, serving my tried, true, and traditional recipes so I dont have to wrack my brain every week for a new menu. But I am starting to get bored of the same old (but yummy) food, so now I turn to you imamothers for help in sprucing up my menu Cool

I'm mainly looking for baked or sauteed chicken recipes (please not too much oil!), and some great meat recipes as well. Nothing in the ground meat family please, I always serve ground meat during the week so that is too weekday for me...

I can also use some more sides (kugels, roasted veggies etc...) but the mains are something that I'm really looking for right now Smile

Thanks so much in advance and looking forward to hearing some great recipes!!!

I have an easy yummy one I've been doing. sprinkle chicken with montreal chicken seasoning, add about half a cup of white wine (I don't measure, just splash it on) and bake on 350 covered for about an hour and a half. always amazing.

Honey Garlic Chicken

1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 Tblsp brown sugar
garlic powder

Mix ingredients in pan. If making bone-in chicken, place skin side down and bake covered for 1 hour. For cutlets, make sure both sides get saucy, and bake covered for 30-35 minutes.

I used to make a lot of the same foods every week and then my dh kindly said he'd rather have less food every week but more variety.
therefore I make one kugel, one vegetable (roasted or something else) and one small main.
mains-onion chicken, beer can chicken, garlic broiled chicken, duck sauce/sweet potato chicken, london broil (in a suace, or usually olive oil , salt, pepper), grilled chicken cutles, shnitzle,
sides- potato kugel, broccoli kugel, cauliflower kugel,
vegetables- roasted mushrooms, popcorn cauliflower, string beans, roasted peppers, asparugos, balsamic peppers, roasted potatoes, breaded vegetables

Yeah, the non-boring stuff is over-rated. Whenever I make anything super-fancy, DH thinks it tastes just as good as the simple stuff.

Our menu always consists of the same foods, just different ingredients/recipes.
Challah w/ salads and dips
Fish
There's always chicken as the main dish, one carb side-dish, and one veggie sidedish. Anything more is extra if I'm feeling like a bulabusta.
Dessert is fruit & tea and sometimes also cake, wafers, or cookies.

Fav go-to chicken dishes:
Cornflake/breaded chicken bottoms
Shnitzel
Plov (chicken cooked with steamed rice, carrots, and craisins)
Chicken stirfry
Yummy 5 Minute Chicken:

(every time I make this, it gets devoured and all of our guests comment on how delicious it is!)
Ingredients:
4 chicken bottoms (I use a whole chicken, cut up into 8ths)
1 onion cut into 1/4″ slices
2 cloves of garlic, cut into pieces
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar (white sugar is also fine)
1 tablespoon soy sauce

Directions:
1. Put chicken pieces in 9×13 pan. Saute onions with garlic until translucent. Add brown sugar, ketchup and soy sauce. Simmer till sugar melts (about 5 min). Spread over chicken.
2. Bake in oven at 400 degrees for about 1.5 to 2 hours (or about 25 min if doing cutlets).
Enjoy!

Idk why it's called 5 min chicken. It doesn't really take five minutes, but it is yummy Razz
