Sorry, I just saw this now.

Chicken Lollypops
• 1.5 lbs. chicken cutlets, thinned, then cut into long strips
• ½ cup soy sauce
• ½ cup sugar
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• long wooden skewers

Whisk together soy sauce, sugar and garlic in a small bowl. Place chicken strips and marinade mixture in a large Ziploc bag. Marinate for 2 hours or overnight.
Thread each strip of chicken through a skewer. Reserve leftover marinade.
Grill chicken lollypops on barbeque grill.
Optional: place the reserved marinade in a small saucepan, bring to a boil, and then serve on the side in little cups, as a dipping sauce.

I posted the recipes for the black and white rice balls, and the sticky rice somewhere on this thread. I will look through it and let you know which pages they are on.


Yumm I think I am going to make this for shabbos.

Sunday: Fettucine with Asian Mushroom Pepper Steak wine sauce, Salad

Monday: Veggie Lasagna, Greek Salad, Broccolini in balsamic cream sauce

Tuesday: Leftovers from Sunday and Monday

Wednesday: Eating out at BBQ

Thursday: Israeli Salad, Shwarma, Pita and dips (maybe some felafal balls for the vegetarian)

Busy week; I only cooked twice:

I made a whole wheat lasagne with crumbled up pareve burgers and broccoli which was enough for several nights (for those who wanted to eat it).

I also made chicken curry, which lasted for a few nights. I posted the recipe.

Friday night:
Challah
Chicken Soup
Salad
Chicken
Zuccini Kugel
Sweet Potato Pie (or is it really a kugel?)

Applesauce cake for desert

Shabbos Day:
Challah
Tuna Salad
Salad
Cholent
Leftover kugels

Seudah Shlishi
challah
Whatever is left.

Maybe I should make another salad or something. I don't know.

Probably. They really do come out best on the barbeque grill, but as long as you serve dipping sauce on the side, it should be good and not dry.

I dont think anyone makes 'entrees' for a week day meal, unless they make soup.
We don't serve appetizers at a weekday dinner. Unless you count the salad we always start off with.

Sunday: tacos
Monday: chicken Fajitas in warm Lafas
Tuesday: crunchy onion chicken, baked French fries, garden salad
Wednesday: sweet and spicy meatballs, brown rice, garlic broccoli
Thursday: salmon in puff pastry, salad with croutons

All the menus sound amazing! I'm a newlywed and could use some help ... Can you please help me plan menus that are easy but delicious? No fish, I don't like meat really, and DH doesn't like tomato/marinara sauce... THANK YOU!!!

no fish or meat... then all you have left is chicken and noodles. and if no tomato sauce then its just chicken. LOL well there are other options... (in my house its no cheese (neither dh or I like it))

I guess the no meat thing rules out hamburgers, meatballs, meat lasagne
soups and stews are a good idea. tend to be filling as well.
there are many diff types of chicken you can make. one of our favorites- veggie chicken I a m making tonight.

Veggie chicken
cut some slices of peppers and onion (about 3 pepper slices and 2 onion slices per piece of chicken
put a little oil at the bottom of a pan/pot and start to heat
rub paprika over the chicken.
sear the chicken on each side for abput 5 min or until golden yellow- (do the bottom up first and then flip it so the top is showing.)
Place pepper and onion slices onto top of chicken. the more of the vegetable touching the chicken the better the flavor.
add water to cover about 3/4 of chicken
cover and leave on simmer for 1 and 1/2 hrs.

its yummy!

tuesday : eggplant parm. onion soup and cheese blinzes
wednesday : baked chicken baked potato salad steamed veggies
thursday : chicken fried in a batter orzo cream of broccoli soup

All my recipes are simple to make as I don't have time to Patchka or make much of a mess. Let me know what sort of recipes you'd like. (We don't eat much fish either and usually do not use tomato or marinara sauce either.)

Here's this week's menu:
Sunday: tarragon salmon and whole wheat pasta

Monday: Cold zucchini soup and lemony sugar snap peas

Tuesday: Blackberry/blueberry soup and granola with yogurt

Wednesday: Caesar salad and salmon with soy sauce

Thursday: Taco lettuce wraps and guacamole

Friday: Whole wheat challah, creamy avocado soup, grilled lemon-oregano chicken, kale salad and vanilla cake with vanilla frosting (and sprinkles… if we have them in the cupboard)

this past week we had
sun.- broccoli calzones, greek salad, spinach quice
mon.- wedding
tues- breaded chicken, vegi lo mein, nish nosh salad
wed- grille vegi duck sauce salmon, rice,taters, spinach avacado salad, (man that was alot of food!)
thurs- lasanga, ceaser salad, garlic bread
