My baby is 6 months old, and I am basically ready to start weaning him, I was wondering if anyone could offer me anything about what to expect, how their baby reacted to being weaned.
Basically he is sleeping through the night now, I work full time, and am getting frusturated with pumping, and low supply. In the morning he is too distracted to eat normally, so basically we dont do much actual nursing.
Occasionally he will try and initiate the nursing session and thats what I feel bad about.

how about instead of weaning completly nurse him only in the evenings. once or twice a day. first of all quitting gradually will be better for you and the baby especially if you say he tries to initiate it. don't quit completly- just nurse less often. you never know it may pick up again in a month o two.

Babies can absolutely tell the difference between mother's milk and formula. They taste quite different.
