I finally ordered the t-fal bread machine that I have been wanting for a year now . It does a 2lb 21/2lb or 3lb loaf does anyone have any good recipes for breads or challah dough or anything that they have done in one????
Would appriciate any ideas

Here are my most used recipes. I always use a mixture of half white, half wholemeal flour
Bread
(these amounts are for the largest loaf my machine does)
1 1/4 t yeast
600g flour
1 1/2 T sugar
1 1/2 t salt
25g marg (I use oil)
400ml water
Pizza bases
1 t yeast
600g flour
1 T sugar
1 t salt
30g marg
400ml water
Pitta Bread
1 t yeast
500g flour
1 t sugar
1 t salt
280ml water
Cinnamon raisin bread
1 1/4 t yeast
600g flour
1 1/2 T sugar
1 1/2 t salt
25g marg
400ml water
then put 3 t cinnamon mixed with 100g raisins in the raisin nut dispenser to fall out halfway through the mixing cycle

Challah
(adaptation from the basic bread recipe that came with my bread machine)
1 1/4tsp instant yeast
500g flour (equivalent to 5cups. I use 1cup wholewheat 4 cup white)
2 tbsp sugar (I like mine not so sweet. 3tbsp if you like sweeter challah)
1 1/4 tsp salt
Liquid
2 eggs, 1/4 cup oil, and enough water to measure 375cc.
I only do kneading on the breadmachine. Take out the dough as soon as it beeps. Shape into challah and let it raise for 1hr or so. Mymachine also has "raisin and nuts drop" dispenser which is great if you like raisin challah. Since this recipe has eggs, you cannot use timer setting.

I also only use the dough cycle, and then I divide the dough into loaf pans or make dinner rolls.
1 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup sugar
just under 2 tsp salt
4cups whole wheat flour
1cup bread flour (you need 5 cups; you can play around with the amounts of ww flour to bread flour)
1 tablespoon vital wheat gluten (this seems pretty optional; I've forgotten it sometimes and nothing notable happened)
4 tsp active dry yeast
after dough cycle, shape as needed (this makes nice challah) and rise until twice its size. Bake loaves at 350 for 1/2 hour and rolls for 20 minutes.

| I've noticed that the dough has much better consistency when I add a few table spoons of gluten flour but made my bread/challot without one (comes out a bit denser but still delicious).

Thank you everyone for the recipes I can not wait for the machine to arrive so I can toivel and try them. Does anyone know how to convert grams into cups or ozs ??

For flour, 100g equals 1 cup
For margarine/sugar, 28g equals 1 oz.
