Are you dressing him too warmly? Maybe he is overdressed and his blanket is too thick.

It might be a heart murmur. My niece had the same symtoms and with a small precedure done through lazer the whole problem was fixed.

It could be the type of pyjama or maybe the room is too warm... When DS was a baby he could only sleep in a onesie and socks.

My kids are sweaty. In bed, in the stroller or carseat, majorly in the baby carrier. It's just how they are. I make sure to dress them appropriately, tend towards underdressing then check on them and add a blanket if they seem cold.

And then I get comments from well meaning people who tell me my kid needs the sweaty, wet hat or socks I just freed them from Razz

She didn't do it much as a baby, but my 5 year-old sweats like crazy at night. It doesn't matter what the weather is. She's been doing this for at least a couple of years.

Sometimes people with blood sugar issues sweat a lot at night when their sugar dips. But it's more like a cold clammy sweat.

Also, hormonal problems could lead to excessive sweating.

my baby also woke up wet in the morning and then I realized that it was the mattress which is made of plastic
I bought a mattress protector for under the sheet and since then she didn't sweat anymore

I have found that certain fabrics make my baby sweat more. He's 3 months now and has been like this since birth. He's the most comfortable in cotton. If his skin is touching any other fabric (even our leather couch!) he shvitzes like crazy.

My dd always seems to have a naturally high temp compared to most people. As a newborn, she drove the hospital nurses crazy because she would kick off her socks, wriggle out of her blanket wrap and pull her hat off. They'd get her all bundled up again, and she'd be stripped down to her diaper before they left the room! She's woken up with damp hair as long as I can remember. She's 6 now, and she still sleeps sweaty. We call her the "Sweaty Betty".

(Kinehura, all of her checkups come out just fine, the doc is not worried.)
