| I have a basic cheesecake recipe that works perfectly with the types of cheese I can get here. We are having a buffet of different types of cheesecakes on Shavuos and I'm looking for different ways to garnish a ready baked plain cheesecake or something simple to do to the batter before baking. I can't get pie filling (and it tastes nasty IMHO anyways) so that's out. I have a great chocolate glaze, made a few into spider-web cheesecakes before baking, and I'm whipping up cream and topping with sliced strawberries, but I need a few more (SIMPLE) ideas. What do you top your cheesecake with?

Grate chocolate on top (dark, milk or white)
sour cream and sugar (either baked for ten minutes or fresh).
Fresh fruit sliced _________________ גשם, גשם בוא!

slice fresh strawberries. Then, if you have jello make some red jello, adding less water than it says you should. when it is a little set pour over the cheesecake.
you could do the same with other fruit and diffrent couloured jelly.

Caramel. It's really good and easy to make.
In a double boiler melt
1 bar white chocolate,
1 tsp corn syrup
1/2 tsp coffee diluted in 3 Tbsp hot water.
Pour on top of ready made cheese cake.
Yum. And enjoy. _________________

- Chocolate shavings. (either dark or white, and if you can get the type that has both colors, the shavings look really cool!!)
- Crumbled Oreo Cookies. YUM!! _________________ Boy (15), Boy (13), Girl (12), Boy (10), Girl (8), Boy (5), Girl (3), Girl (10 m) B"H!!!

Happyone, I make that with dark milchig chocolate and it's delicious!!!
Regarding the chocolate shavings and cookie crumbs, excuse my ignorance, but before or after baking? I can't imagine anything dry sticking to a baked cheesecake.
I'm going to try the strawberries and jello, raisin, and I wish I had pecans and maple syrup... that sounds delicious!
Keep the ideas coming!

| I blend the sugared strawberries & a drop of lemon juice. after slicing the cheese cake, I pour a little of that strawberry sauce on each slice. its delicious & makes it very tempting.

| I use just the sauce from the cherry pie filling. or pour on some chocolate sauce in circles, and with a toothpick/fork make little lines through them (you know, like they do in some of the bakeries on napoleans)

I've done this and I've made the sauce with blueberries.
There's also a topping with sour cream, vanilla and sugar ( don't remember the exact amounts, I have to look em up) and it's delicious. You put the cheesecake in the oven for a bit, take it out put the sour cream topping on top and stick it back in the oven for a few minutes.

| That's what I do. I put a big sour cream with 1/4 cup sugar & put it on when cake is 3/4 done. I then bake it for 15 more minutes. I use the strawberry topping on this cheese cake.

| If you like a fruit type topping : melt some apricot preserves, then spread over cooled cheesecake and top with pineapple slices.

Oreo cookies sounds good. Does it stick well? I think I saw similar type of cookies here in Israel.
I melt chocolate and marble it in on top before baking. Rosemary chocolate is specially good for this.
I also use chocolate shavings. I find they stick fairly well. My cakes are usually a bit sticky on top, and I put it on while still warm. I have also laid out chinese pecans on top for a prettty effect.
