I am going to someone for shabbos and was asked to contribute desert.
My oven doesnt really work well so I need something that doesn't need baking.

Not something that involves expensive fruit like strawberries or mangos, because they arent easy to get here.
Fruit easily available here is apples, pears, oranges, kiwis, nectarines, peaches, etc.

I was thinking possibly something nice with jello since I have a bulk sized container. Maybe something jello with whip and something else?

Or maybe a mousse? I'd need recipes though.

Or any other suggestions?
ASAP because I'm leaving to the store soon and would like to know what to buy before I get there.

You can make a no bake pie crust by crushing biscuits with margarine and sugar.

Pudding pie! All you have to do is mix any flavor pudding with soy milk or rice dream. Pour it into a pie crust and top with fruity pie filling or whip.

You can also defrost a pareve ice cream and pour it into a pie shell and put it back in the freezer. If you defrost vanilla, add mini marshmallows, choc. chips, and peanuts- mix and refreeze. . .it's rocky road pie. You can top it with choc. sprinkles and whip.

I posted a goood Jello recipe with Fresca last week. You can sub lemonade for the fresca..leave out the strawberries and use whatever other fruits you have.

the nuts are also optional.

Strawberries are really cheap at this time and you can make sorbet. It's great in the summer for Shabbos dessert. Also at the shuk buy strawberries that are seconds you are only going to blend them anyway so who cares how pretty they are in the first place.

this is delicious.

Mix a whip with crushed sandwich cookies with a spoon.

pour into a store bought graham cracker crust.

Freeze. It tastes exactly like cookie and cream ice cream.

I just bought a small watermelon for our shabbos. I hope its good but that's yummy and refreshing after the meal. I would cut it in fruit bowl or slice on platter with other fruits.
