I don't think there's a general answer. The first day we sent my almost 3 year old to gan wearing underwear, she had no accidents. We went a whole week fine and were marvelling at how she must have been so ready. And then she started having accidents. We can go 2 weeks with no problem and then she can have 3 accidents in one day.
