I want to purchase a step like the one you use in a step class at the gym. I have one already but its only 6 inches and I have used it the past year but now want to step up my game with 8 inches. They all seem really expensive. Does anyone know where or how to find on-line a cheaper one? It doesn't have to be brand-name or brand-new. I don't know how to maneuver e-bay so unless someone could help me with that that choice is out.
Thank you,

They have it at Target for 79.99.

When you search for it online, it's called, "The Original Club Step"

I found a link to someone selling it on ebay, but after the price of shipping, it'll be $80 as well.

You should try your local craigslist as well.

ETA: do you already have the step and just need extra risers?

what about buying something else that you can adjust? I have a step with a base that I can flip over to make it higher.

Lol, I knew knew you two would be the first (maybe only) to respond. I love having fellow excercise addicts on here:) Yeah 78-100 was the price I was seeing. I want somehting cheaper.
The one I have now is built in 6 inches can't add anything (I don't think). Its funny I bought it for 25 shekals from someone who had no idea what she had (and how much I would have paid for it). Can you imagine that.

You think I can just add a wooden board underneath to boost it up?

I've looked for the step several times in the past few years, and haven't seen anything cheaper than $80.

Check this out, but I think it's a slightly different size:

I wouldn't do that, it probably wouldn't be too steady, and you would want to put rubber grippers on the wood to keep it from slipping.

You could call clubs in your area to see if they ever sell old equipment.

You could have just asked us, then. We don't bite on Pms.

I'm not sure addict is a nice word to call someone. Sad

Horrible, unsafe idea to put anything under it or over it.
