How much grape juice/wine do you get for pesach? How do you figure it out per person?
I'm thinking... 7 people, each bottle probably has 4 kosos in it... thats 7 bottles, plus one more for each day of shabbos/yom tov...
So 8 for first day, 9 counting shabbos, 10 counting last day.
Does that sound about good for 7 guests?

| just put away the bottles by shulchan aruch so people don't drink it. otoh people may drink less then 4 cups per bottle...if they don't down the whole cup.

Does that sound about good for 7 guests? | seraph, dont be too sure about that one. today I was using an old grape juice bottle for water b/c I wanted to see how many cups of water I could get and I got about 2 1/2, so your calculation for the amount of bottles might be a bit off on that.

One liter is four cups (each cup 250 mil) like what you'd use for baking, a cup is a larger measurment than a reviit which is 86 mil (I think according to one shita it may be bigger or smaller). Not all glasses are reviit, but many are not that much larger (because it's hard to drink four large glasses). So I'd measure more like a liter per 2 people, if you have smallish glasses.

| I'd messure about 2-3 bottles per person per meal my mom always got 3-4 cases for just our familyand we were only 6 ppl.

I know we have enough from one regular bottle for kiddush friday night, shabbos day, havdala, and some extra... So I assume that is enough for 4 kosos, and if not, thats why an extra bottle...

| if your wine cups are not the minimum size (86 mil, about 3.5 oz, which is less then half of a regular cup) it might be cheaper to buy new wine glasses and less wine. most wine bottles are 750 ml so you should get 7 small cups from it. (grape juices are usually 1 litre)

4 cups of 8.6 oz for 7 people is just a little over 7 liters...
