We are looking to buy a new vacuum cleaner. Does anybody have one that you love? How much does it cost? What is so great about this one as opposed to any other one?
TIA

DH got me a dyson for our anniversary one year (that's another story). At first I was very skeptical due to the $400-500 price tag. However, over the past 3 years it has outpreformed every other vaccum I have ever used. It has it's own canister so you don't need bags the version we have has a high filtration system so it's allergy friendly. Almost all the parts unsnap from the base to dislodge a stuck item and for cleaning. Overall it's great if you can afford it. And the warranty is great, although I haven't had to use it yet.

I have an oreck electrikbroom quickstick
about $100 real small light weight cordless and the vacuum pops out to become a handheld
the great thing about cordless you can just zip around the house with out having to stop and unplug and plug
it does not have all those add ons for the hard to get places
but I never know what to do with them anyways
and it does get into all the corners just pop out the hand vac
my only problem is that I sometimes for get to charge it before I use it

this sounds liek what I need, we do not have any carpet in my house, but I would like to have a vaccum just to be able to get al the dust htat the broom might not catch. does it also get under basebaord heating/radiators? that is my main problem?

I have a meili and I LOVE it! I had it for five years and havent had one problem. its little, quiet and easy to use. its 500 dollars and worth the money. id rather spend 500 every ten years, then 100 and have to buy a new one every year like so many people do because they break.
