Information about Terrace view Estates, Bates Road, Monsey

I am looking into buying a condo on bates road in the new development and have several questions to ask.

I am chassidish heimish (neutral) (in my 30's) and I was wondering what type of crowd are moving into bates road.

What are the school options in monsey (I have pre-school twins)

what are the major differences from brooklyn city life to monsey

Are there any good playgroups

Physicians - who would you recommend.

I do not have any family in the vicinity and was wondering if it will be lonely? Are the locals friendly? will it be a major regret?

sorry for the 101 questions, though there are still plenty more lurking in my brain your advise will be tremendously appreciated.

is there ANYBODY from monsey that may have an opinion??? just so many people read this post but not 1 reply?? would you move there? do you know the place? do you know of pro's and con's?

Hi, This is what I know of Bates Drive:

The people on the block , (not talking about the people moving in to Terrace view) are mostly Chassidish, all types I.e. Some drive some don't and there also are some Litvish and Modern people on the block. They're all mostly very nice and friendly. The people moving in are mostly Chassidish as well but probably all types as well and probably some Litvish and modern ones too. It is not such a quiet block like other parts of Monsey, especially after the new development will be occupied, and is probably the go between Brooklyn and Monsey life.
There are a few stores on the corner including a Grocery, Pizza shop and Hosiery store which is a great advantage. It's also not far from the Tuvia Judaica mall which includes many great stores.

You should definitely expect to feel lonely at first, no matter how friendly the locals are (and they are. I know a few wonderful people on that block.) as it is very different from Brooklyn, in addition to not having your family and friends close-by as you probably have in Brooklyn. However, once you settle in the lonely feeling should disappear. I think it is a great block if you are coming from Brooklyn, because it is not as quiet as most parts of Monsey and thus an easier transformation.

I don't know what school types you're looking for. I just know that you should look into schools the same time or even before you look into a house. Some schools are hard to get into.

This is basically what I know about Bates Drive. Hope I helped you and if you have any other specific questions I can try to answer them as well.

Momofmultiples, we are also looking into the possibility of buying a condo at Terrace View Estates. I am 26, I live in Boro Park, and I have an almost 3 year old child.
If we do decide to move, maybe the two of us will become friends!
The 2 major issues for me right now are real estate taxes, and a job for myself.
Do you know how much the RE taxes are supposed to be monthly, annually?

I'm also currently looking into buying a condo at Terrace View. Any info on what type of crowd settled there?
