Should I do anything??

Sorry for the long post: I live in an apt building with only 3 floors. I am friendly with most of the neighbors, except the lady right above me, she is a single lady in her mid 40's and is very bitter. I have tried to be friendly, but she only comments nastily on my children's clothes?? what my kids wear is none of her business. On one shabbos she said my daughter should be dressed fancier... she has no right to tell me that.

She also had a leak once and did not tell the maintenance guy, until I had a flood from my ceiling on erev shabbos. When the maintenance guy came he said there was a foot of water on her floor! the damage done required a new ceiling to be put b/c ours was moldy, no apology or even an excuse as to why it happened.

Occasionally she has these yelling fits that are so loud I hear them through the wall. Last night was horrible, she yelled and screamed for 5 hours! my kids bedrooms are right under, to put it nicely we all barely slept till 2:30 am. Someone else called the police and ambulance and she was taken away. We finally fell asleep when an hour later we woke up to a car slamming and curse words. She was back... it started again but B"H stopped after a bit and we got up today like zombies.

So should I call the management about it? I really do not want it to get back to me. I am actually afraid of her. I just can't take another night like this.

Im sorry about what happened and it sounds awful. But, calling the management wont help. You might want to contact someone that you know knows her, someone that can talk to her and get her the help she needs. It might be a sister of hers or anyone that you see visiting her.

I wish I saw anyone. Her entrance is separate from mine so I really don't see anyone. My Dh said he thought he heard a man's voice but it could have been the ambulance guy... thanks anyways

she sounds more than just bitter! she sounds mentally disturbed to have been screaming on end for hours! It doesnt sound like she should be living alone in an apt. if she's not emotionally well or capable of handling things like a leak, etc.
Can you anonymously tell the manager what has been going on?

She needs psychiatric help. She is suffering from some mental difficulty; maybe the local social worker?

3boyz- I totally agree she probabley should not be living alone at this point, there is nothing I can do about that.
HindaRochel - I don't even know where to start or if I want to be the one to get that involved.

I thought that when the ambulance came she was being taken to the psych ward but I truely do not know what she said to be let out so quickly.
