One of mine had to go to the doctor to have a bead removed from his nose.

Oh no - that's awful!
I don't know what's involed in extracting the offending item, but I'm sure it must be relatively simple, they must see lots of such 'accidents' in the hospital.

One of my boys once managed to get a bead wedged up his nose. We called Hatzolo who came and said there was nothing he could do, we should take him to Emergency. Whilst my son was waiting for my husband to find his car keys, he SNEEZED really hard and out popped the bead!

My son stuck a pea up hos nose a few months ago - I got it out fairly easily. A friend came over once with her 3 year old who had stuck a pea up his nose - as far as I remember he sneezed it out
Once in the ER I had to remove a safety pin that a 2 yr old had stuck up her nose - not fun!
I also remember having to remove a bead from a child's ear once.

My four year old just did this last week. As he was coming to show me, he stuck his finger in his nose to try and get it out, he ended up jamming it all the way up.

Kids do this all the time.

I'm sure the ER knows just what to do.

On the wall of one pediatric department was a frame box with about a dozen items in it that had been extracted from children.

my 4 year old niece stuck a cooked macaroni up her nose, and no one could get it out they had to go to the ER. The dr at the hospital said he just finished with a kid who stuck a pearl in his ear.

Even nuttier my cousin was up in middle of the night playing with lego and she shoved one up her nose and went to her parent s crying it was so bad they had to have it surgically removed.

Basically another kid threw the money across the room and my ds managed to get it into his mouth and swallow it!!!!! So we had to go to the ER and he had to have an x ray, but BH it came out the other end a few days later!!!

My DS stuck a pebble in DH'S ear (!!) when they were at the playground. After a few minutes of nerve-wracking anxiety, I managed to pull it out with a tweezers. Not fun Confused
