Help me think of coustums my mind is blank

so every year since I was young I had purim ideas months in advance. For the 3 purims I have been married we did such cute things having to do with something in our lives. like as newlyweds we did king and queen from candy land. The next Purim we just had our dd so we did mama bear papa bear and baby bear. Last year my dd was always acting like a dog crawling with her touge out and eating off the floor so we were firefighters with her our fire dog. I always make my own costumes its so much fun I am pregnant and my brain just is not working I cant come up with anything I want to cry my dd loves dressing up I was thinking princess but cant figure out how to tie in me and dh. or cookie mosnster but I think that may be nerdy I have some ideas for that but 3 cookie monster idk (dd loves cookie moster)

You can do a sesame street theme if you dd wants to be cookie monster.

You and your dh can be elmo and zoe

You could be a baker and wear a shirt that says bun in the oven and your daughter can be a cookie. Don't know about your husband or if you find this not tznius.

why don't you look in local stores to get an idea? or look on ebay ?

Be fishermen, have your daughter be a fish
give out bottled water, tuna, gummy worms, etc.

My mother made an adorable Dr. Suess theme. My brothers were thing 1 and thing 2 and the adults were all the cat in the hat. You can adapt it to your family.

We cut from foam red bow ties and stuck it on a grape juice bottle. Black pipe cleaners served as the tail. For the hat, we cut strips of red and white felt and pasted it on a liquor glass. it was really adorable.
(I have a picture of it but I don't quite know how to insert it, if anyone can help me.)

We did hamantaschen for DD once. I bought a piece of dough-colored felt. Cut it into a circle. Buy black large pom poms...Get the glue gun and make a giant-sized poppyseed ozen haman. I made a little necklack-shaped hanging thing so she could wear whatever she wanted....underneath because she was a little baby at the time...so she if she fussed it was easy to take off. I also did a triangle shaped hat from same felt (like a corner of the cookie itself) but that didn't last. Making the costume took less than 1 hour: 10 minutes at Jo-Ann Fabrics to find the pom poms, felt, and a cheap $5 glue gun with glue...Then I cut the felt in a circle, did a few test corners (since you don't need to glue pom poms to the whole circle, just the middle), and it's drying as you do it.

So, picking up on DD's love of princess- let her be Ester, and you or DH be an Ozen Haman...and one of you be a "basket" with mishloach manot. In fact, the person who is the mishloach manot should have some candy or something to hand out to kids...and have a little tag hanging off of you with "Chag Purim Sameah from the XX Family" You could wear a trash bag (white) decorated like you'd decorate your mishloach manot (with a permanent marker), or add a picture of a bottle of wine, etc-

If you don't like the Mishloah manot bag idea, then do a grogger. Make yourself a noisemaker (beans in a plastic cup) and hang them around yourself, or if you have a large box, fashion it into something that looks wooden...

being an American flag family, dh and me putting on an American flag vest with a matching hat, for dd trying to get an uncle Sam for her but I could only found size two which is too big for her , thought of making red blue and white mashloch mones

I'm happy to hear that I am not the only one that has not come up with anything for Purim yet. My son's upsherin is right before purim, so I was going to do an Aleph Bais theme using the leftover cupcakes with letters on top. I decided that was too tacky(sp?). If anyone has ideas for my two boys that would be great.
My sister had a kangaroo costume that she wore when she was pregnant. Brown jumper with a tail in the back and two ears poking out in the front. She wore ears on top of her shaitel (felt glued on to a headband). I can't suggest an idea for misloach manos tohugh.

I once saw a couple where the wife was noticeably pregnant and she and her husband were wearing garbage bags. The husband had written across his chest "SHES HEFTY AND I"M GLAD!

thanks all for all the great ideas in the end we are being cookie monsters bec tha is the only thing I can make that will fit me I found a sight and got us all matching sweatshirts and sweatpants for dh and my dd and blue hats that on then I will make cookies face out of felt have all my ideas in my head I also might write in puff pain on the back of mine and dh me want cookies of something. for mm I am gona bake cookies and put them in a basket and put a small milk in too if I cant get the cute little cartons I will get the ones in the juise boxes.
