HELP! MY 12 MONTH OLD HATES THE BATH!

Has your baby ever done this....He used to love bath time, he wouldnt want to come out. Now the second I put him in hes climbing out, and tonight he had a fit and started yelling when I put him in!!
Whats this about? Any ideas?

have you tried giving him a bubble bath? my son went through a few weeks of hating baths. I gave him a bubble bath and he was back to loving bath time. I use baby wash for the bubbles and wash him by rubbing the bubbles in. he loves that.

hmmmm... I would also love some good bath ideas for my 2 year old. He hates it. he cries and screams. I can't do a bubble bath because he has very sensitive, easily irritable skin. What is a bath marker?

do you mean bath crayons? I've seen those, but I don't want my kids bathing in dye.

hmmmmmm....so I have to think of a better idea....

try to put him in a empty tub with toys. btw its just a stage hell get over it fast iy"h.

yeah those crayons & bubble bath things irritate sensitive skin - I would keep away and simply use some baby wash as bubbles ... definitely have some bath toys like sponges that stick to the walls - sort of like bathtub lego ... and when he's in that mood just give him a quick 1 min one ...

we own as many sets of rubber ducks as many kids we have...my dd yelled during bathtime, and now all we hear is QUACK QUACK QUACK!!!

Try going in with him. If you aren't comfy getting totally naked, you can wear a bathing suit. Just sit and play and he might really like it. Otherwise, toys, especially things that pour water, may do the trick.

my 2-year-old DS also hates the bath. it's been that way for a while. for some reason he's afraid of water getting on his head and face....
we've tried bubbles, we've tried toys, I've tried going in with him, I even tried nursing him while I washed him (!) but nothing works. it's been going on like this for months. anyone have an experience like this?

we had this when my dd turned 2. she became fearful of going down the drain. so, we started covering the drain holes with a wash cloth and washing her quickly while she stood in the tub. she's almost 4 now, and she's over the fear and back to sitting down in the tub, but she still likes the drain covered.

my son is nine months, is there any reason why I cant give him a bubble bath? Am I supposed to wait until hes a certain age?

my son was refusing to sit down in the bath for months. Finally I let him play in the bathroom with me, and then I threw his toys into the tub, he wanted them, so he went into the empty toy filled tub to play. still standing. I sat him down. He didnt complain. I let him do it a few times. Then I filled the bath very low and put lots of bubbles in it, and put him in. He stood up, I sat him down and he didnt kvetch. And since then he sits in the bath. (I have to sit him down, but then he stays sitting and doesnt cry.)
