I received this is an email and it scared me to think that my children are at risk of not hearing a fire detector go off while they sleep...

it depends on how deep a sleeper one is ... kids & adults alike ...

they make voice activated ones that a parent can record saying way up yosse'le ... people are known to be more responsive - so they say ...

I would probably not wake up from the regular beep those detectors make. in camp, there was one right near my ear and I did not hear it when it went off during my afternoon nap.
