Sepharadim and Chabad do not say Tehillim at night (read: only after Chatzot until nighttime). I remember a rabbanit once quote HaRav Kook (obviously not Chabad or Sephardic, but still) saying that at times of trouble for Am Yisrael one can say Tehillim at any time of day.

What do you think? At times like these, is it ok to say Tehillim at any time of day no matter what? Don't our brothers and sisters need our constant tefilot right now? And if it's still not ok to say Tehillim from nightfall to Chatzot (a few hours) then what should we be doing instead? Learning? Any ideas?

I thought it was that it's more easily accepted during the day so that's when people say tehilim. I was told it was ok to say at night if there's a good reason for it, but I'm not sephardi or lebavich.

Im not a Rabbi, but I am lubavitch, or try to be, and I remember that saying tehillim at night is something done for people who need a refuah shelaima, or something else serious, I guess you could ask your LOR
