This recipe is tried and true and your guests will have no idea that it took 5 minutes to make and is healthy!
one 12oz pack SILKEN tofu. Only used silken as any other kind will be too piecey. Put the tofu to strain in a very fune meshed sieve.
in a double boiler melt 3/4 of a cup good quality dark chocolate chips.
In a food processor mix the strianed tofu, the melted chocolate chips, 1tsp pure vanilla extract and 1/2 cup soy or rice milk. Blend until silky.
It doesn't make a huge amount - maybe 6 half cup portions but is exceptionally rich and delicious with no whipping or raw eggs.
Beteyavon!

Firstly tofu is super healthy. Secondly there is no sugar or no raw eggs. I don't see what is funny about the title. _________________ A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.

This is my recipe! I make it all the time you c han also pour it in a graham cracker crust for mousse pie.
it's not quite "no sugar" it has tons of chocolate. Not a healthy dessert but a better choice for those who don't eat whip or raw eggs.
and no one has ever guesssed what its made of

| I have made chocolate mousse pies this way for years! It really is as simple as it gets and so delicious. I love telling people who tell me that tofu is gross what they just ate as they help themselves to a 2nd piece, lol!

It sounds fabulous! I have a philosophical objection to tofu, but I may actually try this. Anyone have any idea of calories/WW points?
6 x 1/2 cups?? If it's that good, maybe I'll share with DH. If he behaves.

| when you say "strained" tofu, do you mean you forced the tofu solids thru the sieve, or drained off the excess water in a sieve?

Just let it sit in the sieve and the excess water will drain off while the choc melts.
When I typed healthy I didn't mean as in whole wheat bread with low fat cheese and tomatos> I meant healthier than traditional mousse which has either raw eggs or parev whip. As far as desserts go, tofu and choc chips isn't too bad.

If you pour the mousse into a graham crust, do you keep it in the fridge or do you freeze it?
Thanks

I keep it in the fridge.
It is sometimes a bit liquidy but when you refrigerate it it hardens up b/c the melted chocolate gets cold. It slices beautifully as a pie and is extremely rich and delicious.

it's not too bitter without any sugar?
Actually tofu is healthy, and dark chocolate is healthy. So yes, this is healthy.

I can't find silken tofu. Does it have to be silken brand?
Both stores had Nasoya Brand.
If I purchased Nasoya would it need to be firm? extra firm? etc.....

I don't have a sieve, I have a flour strainer with miniscule holes - will this work? _________________ Just Plain Frum!

I've bought it in the past but this time the health food store didn't have it and they said they never did so maybe I'm dreaming. why does it have to be silken brand?
PS you could use sugar free Choc. Chips but probably not as good.
